Sawyer's First Birthday

Lots of family came to Chryss and David's beautiful new home to help Sawyer celebrate turning one year old. He was extra snuggly and cuddly and not acting like his usual self. Chryss thought maybe it was his 'problem' acting up again. He seemed to perk up a little enjoying the celebration, including opening presents and eating his own giant-sized cupcake.

The next day we started hearing reports from various family members that they were getting sick-vomiting and diarrhea. Chryss was up with both Sawyer and Mazzie Sunday night. At least a dozen people from the party reported getting sick! I'm so thankful that my constitution is very strong. So is Kerry's. We very rarely get any bug that is going around. I think part of the reason is that we use good sense but we don't worry about germs. Sure we wash our hands but we aren't paranoid about washing them before or after touching things or people. That way we get good exposure so our bodies are able to build up immunity against the invaders.

I love the way God promises to take care of me in Psalm 91. When I absolutely KNOW how much He loves me, I can rest in Him. Jesus gave His body to be punished so that I do not have to be punished in mine. There is power in believing in Jesus and what He promises. It can be a reality in your everyday life too! Take a look at the promises in this Psalm and believe that God meant them for YOU today! He is the same yesterday, today and forever!

Psalm 91 (New Living Translation)

1 Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 This I declare about the Lord:
He
alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I
trust him.
3 For he will rescue you from every trap
and
protect you from deadly disease.
4 He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
5 Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,
nor the arrow that flies in the day.
6 Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness,
nor the disaster that strikes at midday.
7 Though a thousand fall at your side,
though ten thousand are dying around you,
these evils will not touch you.
8 Just open your eyes,
and see how the wicked are punished.

9 If you make the Lord your refuge,
if you make the Most High your shelter,
10 no evil will conquer you;
no plague will come near your home.
11 For he will order his angels
to protect you wherever you go.
12 They will hold you up with their hands
so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.
13 You will trample upon lions and cobras;
you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet!

14 The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me.
I will protect those who trust in my name.
15 When they call on me, I will answer;
I will be with them in trouble.
I will rescue and honor them.
16 I will reward them with a long life
and give them my salvation.”

Off and creeping

The coop experience got off to a slow start. Spring is the busy time of year for landscaping and Outdoors By Design is no exception. That being said, we actually did connect on several different occasions. Leslie and I met twice of which one time was with Brenda. We mapped out some possibilities of meetings with clients or at their homes.

My first outing was with Brenda at a client's home in Olympia. (All of them have been in Olympia thus far.)
